2009 Mini Coupé Concept Review
What do you do with a brand that is so defined by its past that expanding into different segments to grow it out might not only prove fruitless but also damage the image it enjoys now? BMW faced a similar problem with its namesake brand before introducing the X5 sport utility, and due to near overwhelming success now seems to build a vehicle for every segment this side of the minivan, but how far can the German brand push the iconic Mini image? So far it's stayed fairly safe. From the initial two-door coupe it's branched into the convertible segment, a category it had ventured into before with the original Mini, followed by versions of coupe and convertible with John Cooper Works performance upgrades, and what Mini fan is going to have a problem with that... ... more information here
