Not so long ago, the thought of inching a Mazda Miata onto a giant car ferry in Muskegon, Michigan, at 9:30 on a Thursday morning -- after already having driven three hours on the interstate in the little cruise-control-less two-seater -- wouldn't have seemed very appealing to me.
