BMW Z3 M Coupe: to covet or not to covet?
I’ve been thinking about the BMW Z3 M Coupe again. Yes I know it’s a bit of an ugger - Owen is always very keen to remind me of its bastardised breadvan proportions - but did you know you can pick one up for about£10k now?
That sounds like an absolute steal for what is a guaranteed future classic. I just love how un-BMW it is. The Z3 M Coupe was an after-hours project, created by a bunch of BMW engineers who wanted a much more driver-focussed version of the Z3, plus one they'd actually feel comfortable driving.
Let’s be honest, were it not for the fattest pay cheque in commercial movie hook-ups, James Bond would not have been seen dead in a BMW Z3. The Z3 M Coupe on the other hand, would have made the perfect accomplice for any of Bond’s oligarchal bad lads. One thing is certain: BMW will never make a car like this again.
