In the car park: Ford Focus RS
It’s been a great week at Sky Motoring, thanks in part to the delivery of this blue Ford Focus RS. This is the first time I have driven the Focus RS since our French excursion involving the Mitsubishi EvoX and the BMW 135i and it actually feels better here than I remember.
Ride and handling dynamics of a new car can often be flattered on the continent because our European brethren benefit from smoother asphalt. However, back on Blighty's rutted roads, any issues become apparent very quickly. I can report there's nothing to worry about here. Be warned, it is firm but the damping is excellent and now that my mind has adjusted to the sheer pace of the thing, I’ve also started to appreciate just how well balanced the car is. How predictable it feels. It’s devastatingly fast but you’d have to be doing something pretty wrong to be bitten.
