Porsche Panamera Launch: Testing Launch Control
The Sports Chrono Package for the Porsche Panamera Turbo is a£1233 option - that's on a car already costng£95,298. However, lodged in the small print of this Chrono Package is Porsche 's miraculous Launch Control System. I say miraculous because not only does it allow a two-tonne saloon car to hit 60mph in 4secs flat, Porsche's drivetrain engineer Christian Hauck also reckons the system can be used as many times as possible without shredding the clutch.
