Toyota Prius: Live from the Launch
I'm currently driving the third generation Toyota Prius which hits UK showrooms on 1 August. Some would like to pitch this petrol-electric hybrid as a rival to the new Honda Insight but that's a bit too simplistic really. The Prius is a whole category bigger than the Insight and at£18,370 (official price for the entry-level Prius T3), more than£3k more expensive. It's also much cleverer, having a powertrain than can run completely on battery power and a CO2 emissions rating of just 89g/km. Time for some real world tests to see what sort of fuel figures this thing can achieve...
