Toyota Prius: Silent driving through Stockholm
Still finding it very weird that such a normal car is so eerily quiet to drive in regular conditions. I've driven hybrids before but this 2009 Toyota Prius seems to engage its nickel metal hydride batteries more regularly than any other hybrid I've tested. As you'd assume, that does your conscience the world of good but also helps deliver some really impressive fuel economy figures. In yesterday's mpg challenge around Stockholm, I managed 82mpg using the EV mode (EV is a fully electric mode) to get me through town while switching to ECON (balances petrol and battery power) for the rest of the leg.
