Vauxhall - where will it all end?
Hard to believe that the German government is busy negotiating the carve up of Opel and with it Vauxhall. Whoever takes over - and Fiat and Magma appear to be the only bidders left - will no doubt introduce huge changes and job cuts. They'll have to if they're going to successfully rationalise the business and turn a struggling American subsidiary into a thriving European business. With the new Astra (scheduled to be built at Ellesmere Port) on its way and looking very promising, it will be a tragedy if Vauxhall and Britain takes the biggest hit.
